The Pearl of Memory as a Garland

I kept wandering in search of you

In this transient world by day and night

I travelled different diverted ways like rivers

I walked through the twisted forests 

Over the Oceans and desert

Having taken the lamp in hand

I searched you everywhere in darkened places

But I found you nowhere

I have nothing except the sweet memories

On the black sheet of night

My dreams have lost their ways

Like pearls scattered everywhere

I have lost the pearl garland 

I don't know how to get that garland again

How to tell my mind now

That the pearl has settled in the other world

How to explain the truth to the mind

Neither will you get that pearl again

Nor will the pearl shine again as a garland

बहन का प्यार और भाई का साथ भी है

जहन में दूर छुपी हैं कई पुरानी मुलाकातें

नानी की वो चिड़ियों की मधुर कहानी भी है

बचपन के दोस्तों के साथ खेलना-कूदना भी है

उन्ही से लड़ना और फिर से मिलना भी है

यादों में है वो चन्दा मामा और चांदनी रातें

वक्त की सिलवटों में छुपी हैं कई बातें

बचपन में स्कूल की वो पुरानी तस्वीर भी है

वो पेड़ वो झूले वो झर-झर करते झरने भी हैं

कागज की वो पानी मे तैरती कस्ती भी है

याद है वो लम्हे जो खुशी-खुशी गुजर जाते

वक्त की सिलवटों में छुपी हैं कई बातें

आज कंधो पर लदा जिमेदारी का बोझ भी है

जिसे लेकर चलना,गिरना और उठना भी है

वक्त को देखना और वक्त के साथ चलना भी है

बस ये ही विचार जहन में घर कर जाते

वक्त की सिलवटों में छुपी हैं कई बातें

    I feel as rich as a wealthy king

 Travel your heart as blood in your veins

   Visit your soul like ship in the sea

 But I am very far from you, my beauty

     I can do nothing except dream

कोरी कल्पना

ये आज का भगवान है कुछ भी बना सकता है। 

हिमालय को भी तोड़कर नया बना सकता है

जुबान का एक चालाक बाजीगर है ये आदमी

जुबान से धरती पर आसमान बना सकता है

कलाकार हैं ये आज की तमाशाइयों की भीड़ में

आज तो ये आसमान में बुलेट ट्रेन चला सकता है

हिदू-मुसलमा और मजदूर

जिनको आज तुम मजदूर कह रहे हो, ज़नाब

कल वहीं लोग तुम्हे हिन्दू-मुसलमा नजर आएंगे

तुम्हारी करनी और कथनी में बड़ा फर्क आ जाएगा

जब-जब देश की कुर्सी के चुनाव नजदीक आएंगे

भारत निर्माण करने वाले आज बेबस सड़क पर हैं

याद रखना तेरी तड़प के दिन भी जरूर आएंगे

वक्त बड़ा जल्दी गुजरता है,जनाब यहाँ इस जहां में

आज तू भूल गया उनको,कल तुझे वो बड़े याद आएंगे

बेबस-लाचार की आंखे भर आईं हैं जमाने के सामने

वो दिन दूर नही जब तेरी इन आँखों मे भी आंसू आएंगे

दिया भी जले

दीया भी जले लेकिन चूल्हा भी जलना चाहिए

भर पेट खाएं लेकिन खाली पेट भी भरना चाहिए

वो जो निगाहें तुम्हारी ओर ताक रही हैं जनाब

उन निगाहों की ओर भी थोड़ा ध्यान करना चाहिए

पहन ले चाहे तू लाखों का सूट अपने इस वदन पर

लेकिन वो जो नंगा वदन है वो भी अब ढ़कना चाहिए
